A smallish Musa from northeastern Sarawak and Brunei on the island of Borneo that forms extensive clusters of dull light green, sparsely blotched pseudostems to 1 m tall (3 ft.). The upright inflorescence displays beautiful, light pink-purple bracts followed by amazing, small, slender, whitish fruit with heavy purple striations in a "candy-stripe" pattern. This spectacularly showy variety became known to the world when the Bobby T, the Bruneian fruit man, published his book in the early 90's on the fruits of Brunei Darussalam. Seeds have perhaps never offered before.
