A dwarf succulent native to South Africa's Northern Cape Province that forms clusters of thick, club-shaped leaves with transparent, rusty, orange gray to pinkish-grey tops and white flowers. In cultivation it does best in drier, warm temperate climates. Lithops is adapted to sparse winter rains and is dormant in summer.
