Sapindales

The Sapindales are an order of flowering plants comprised of nine families, with the largest being Sapindaceae and Rutaceae. The Sapindaceae grow in tropical or warm-temperate climates, with the greatest concentration in the Americas. Acer (maple) is one of the most popular and widely utilized genera in the Sapindaceae. The Rutaceae or the citrus family contains very important fruit species, such as the orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit and mandarin.
