A small, densely clustering Aloe that forms pencil thin shoots with narrow reddish tinged leaves that are sometimes mottled, especially below. The small, unbranched inflorescences hold terminal clusters of tubular flowers that are reddish towards the base and yellow towards the tip. Aloe bakeri is native to southeastern Madagascar, where it grows on rocky hills at low elevations.
