A tree Yucca with sturdy, branching trunks that hold dense rosettes of stiff, greenish leaves. It is native to the Mexican states of Tlaxcala, Pueblo and Oaxaca, where it grows on dry, rocky hillsides between 1500 to 2400 m (4900 to 7900 ft.). Still very rare in cultivation it is best suited to warm temperate climates and hardy to drought and moderate to severe freezes.
