Yucca filamentosa Adam's Needle A heavily clustering, stemless Yucca native to the Atlantic coast of the United States from Central Florida up to as far north as New Hampshire. Y. filamentosa is similar and often confused with Y. flaccida, with which it shares part of its native range. It can usually be told apart by its rather stiff, slightly spoon-shaped, bluish-green leaves, as opposed to the lax, drooping, dark green leaves of Y. flaccida. Y. filamentosa is extremely adaptable and cold hardy and will succeed in all temperate and most subtropical climates. |
