Yucca glauca subsp. albertana
Palliser Triangle Yucca
A rare, small, solitary, trunkless Yucca that forms a dense rosette of countless, very narrow leaves and a short inflorescence with a few large, white flowers. It is native to dry grasslands in Alberta, Canada and Montana, U.S.A. at 700 to 900 m elevation. In cultivation, it is best suited to temperate climates and hardy to at least USDA Zone 6. It requires deep containers and should be planted in the ground early as it does not appreciate being restricted.
