Xanthorrhoea fulva
Swamp Grass Tree

Native to wet heath forests in southeastern Australia, this tough dwarf species thrives in humid, temperate conditions and can take wet soil or drought, heat or moderate freezes without any trouble. It only develops a very short trunk, topped by a dense crown of linear, hard leaves in the fashion of those fiber optic lamps from the 70's.
