Silver Cluster Leaf
A small to medium sized, deciduous tree, usually about 9 m (29 ft.) tall, although in ideal conditions, it can reach more than 20 m (66 ft.). It is widely distributed in subsaharan eastern and southern Africa and often found growing in open forests. The tree is covered in reddish-brown bark and it has narrow, elliptical, blue green leaves, grouped towards the tip of the branches and creamy white flowers. An attractive ornamental for tropical and warm-temperate gardens. Aside from its ornamental use, Terminalia sericea has a variety of applications in traditional medicine.
