Winged Bean, Goa Bean
A vine in the pea and bean family with tripartite leaves and purple flowers followed by seed pods with 4 conspicuous, serrated wings. Unlike most beans which are poisonous unless cooked, its leaves, flowers, roots, and pods can be eaten raw or cooked. The seeds are edible after boiling. Psophocarpus tetragonolobus is widely distributed in tropical Asia.
