Seeds from this species ...
...very easy to germinate and need up to 3 months to
sprout.
Grows well in the shade. Seeds are the size of corn kernels, maybe smaller! Germinates on mass in about 3 months.
The fruiting body are about the size of a clenched fist and red with an orange musilage inside surrounding the
seeds. Grows well if given shade and lots of water. Grows to 3-4m with scant prop roots and multiple stems from
base. Only grows in dense tropical rainforest from sealevel to about 1000 m asl on metamorphic-basalt or granite.
