Pachypodium rosulatum subsp. cactipes
Elephant's Foot Plant
This succulent dwarf shrub from southeastern Madagascar forms a short, inflated base that gives rise to many slender, twisting, spiny branches to 40 cm tall, each of which carries a sparse crown of simple leaves. The trumpet-shaped flowers are yellow and held on long stalks. Perfect for the dry tropical garden but will also grow to maturity as a potted plant.
