Freycinetia sp. (Red Globe)
A spectacular, robust climbing shrub in the Pandanus family that holds rosettes of short, broad, spineless, slightly keeled and recurved, glossy green leaves. The short stalked, bright red fruits appear in the center of each rosette. It is native to rainforests in northern New Caledonia and would appear to do well in cultivation in many warm temperate and tropical climates.
