The leafless shoots of this cactus-like, succulent shrub or small tree have three thin, very prominent ridges that are heavily armed along their edges with long, sharp spines. The small, yellowish flowers are sweetly scented. Euphorbia grandicornis is native to southern Mozambique and northeastern South Africa. It is easy in cultivation in tropical and warm-temperate climates in USDA Zones 9 and above and frequently seen as a house plant.
