Calibanus hookeri

A rare member of the Agave family, this curious plant from northeastern Mexico grows a large, woody base topped by and usually hidden under a heavy wig of wiry, blue-green leaves. A tough plant that will hold up well to drought as well as serious freezes.

Seeds from this species ...

... are very easy to germinate and need up to 1 month to sprout.
Very easy , 40% germination within 3 weeks. Soaked them in gibberillic acid first. Sowed them im a propagator in my greenhouse 25°c.
