Seeds from this species ......difficult to germinate and need up to 6 months to
sprout.
i haven't germinted these seeds, but since it is a temperate palm I think it would prefer lower humidity and
cooler temperatures. This is the case with jubaea chilensis, parajubaea, and butia capita.

Erratic sprouter, a bit challenging to germinate ; sown early July
at 40°C in rich compost the first seed germinated after just
3.5-4 months ; others still dormants after 6 months. Keeping high
temperatures and high levels of humidity should help a bit.
