Agave parryi var. truncata Certainly the most amazing out of the different varieties of A. parryi, this one forms short, broad, beautiful pale or silvery green leaves, with a short, black terminal thorn, in a compact, cup-shaped rosette to 35 cm (1 ft.) across, or perhaps larger in cultivation. Native to Zacatecas, Mexico, where it grows in dry, rocky places in open pine forest, it is less cold hardy than var. parryi but easily makes up in beauty for this. |
