Century Plant

A large Agave with striking blue or pale green leaves from Texas and northern Mexico which is believed to be the ancestral form of the ubiquitous Century Plant, Agave americana. Our seeds were collected from a smaller, very pale form with banded leaves and striking red thorns. Cold hardy, drought tolerant and easy to grow.

... are easy to germinate and need up to 1 month to sprout.
10 seeds sown 6 Mar 07. First germinated after 6 days. 8 at 15 days. Standard treatment - surface sown, light cover of sand, kept moist, room temp 18 - 25 C. (Seeds from eBay source - didn't know Rare Palm Seeds had them too!)
