Agave datylio var. datylio
A medium-sized Agave with a suckering rosette of numerous, strongly keeled, stiff, succulent, pale green leaves to 150 cm (5 ft.) in diameter.
It is native to hot and extremly dry, sandy, low desert regions in Baja California Sur, Mexico, where it forms large stands in some places. While perhaps not the most desirable Agave, it is hard to beat in its drought resistance and will get along well in even the most parched places without irrigation.
