Agave aurea var. capensis
A moderately large, clustering Agave native to desert scrub on barren, rocky soils on the southernmost Baja California peninsula in northwestern Mexico below 300 m. It forms a rosette to 1.2 m in diameter of ascending, pale bluish or yellowish-green leaves which are fiercely armed along the edges. In cultivation, Agave aurea var. capensis can cope with extreme drought and coastal exposure.
