Acanthophoenix rubra

A rare, solitary palm with a slender trunk, a well developed crownshaft and elegant pinnate leaves with nearly pendulous leaflets. Particularly young plants are densely covered in small, soft spines and have attractive red leafveins. Acanthophoenix will thrive in warm temperate to tropical regions.
