Abies recurvata (syn. A. ernestii)

A medium-sized tree to 25 m (80 ft.) tall with a conical crown and bright to bluish green, needle-like foliage. It is native to Western China and Tibet, mainly between 2300 and 3600 m (7500 and 12000 ft.) or higher, where it enjoys a cold, humid climate. In cultivation is is suitable for USDA hardiness zones 4 to 7. The seeds should be soaked well and need cold stratification for a month.
