I have unintentionally sent you multiple copies of the same order. What do I do now?
In general, when we receive duplicate orders that have been placed no more than a few hours apart, we assume that an error has been made, and will complete only one of the orders received. If you are not sure, please notify us by E-mail. Please include your name and order number(s) (you will find the order number at the top of your E-mail confirmation).

    What is the delivery time?
Delivery time is usually 2 - 4 weeks but might be longer to certain countries. Delivery times to destinations outside of the European Union may be influenced by postal or airfreight matters as well as necessary customs and agricultural inspections. The resulting delays are unfortunately beyond our control.

Do you sell seeds of [species name here]?
All species on the small packets and wholesale list are in stock or expected shortly. For a complete list of all species that might be available at some point during the year, please have a look in our archive (link at bottom of page). To receive updates on the arrival of new seeds we recommend you subscribe to our newsletter.

I received my order today but a few of the seeds in one package looked rotten.
During transit it is occasionally possible that some perishable seeds may go bad, particularly if customs or agriculture inspection see fit to retain the seeds for a lengthy period of time. Please notify us immediately and sow any potentially healthy seeds anyway. In case they should continue to rot away, please remind us with your next order and we will send along a replacement. Due to the high costs of postage and phytosanitary certificates to most destinations, we try to avoid separate replacement shipments. If you are asking for a replacement, please do not throw away any potentially bad seeds. We may ask you to photograph or return expensive seeds. Please do not return any seed to us unless we ask you to.

What happens in case my shipment is lost?
All wholesale shipments via the postal service are fully insured in case of loss or damage. When you receive a shipment that has been damaged it is very important that you note the type of damage or loss of contents and have it signed and stamped by a postal service official. It is your liability to send us this document. Without it, the insurance will not pay.

There are certain seeds prohibited by customs. Will this be a problem?
None of the palm seeds we sell fall into this category for practically any destination in Europe, North America and Asia. In certain countries, however, notably Australia for Musa seeds and New Zealand for all except cycad seeds, restrictions may apply.

Is there a tracking number available?
Not for orders shipped by post, which includes all small packet orders. International shipments with the postal service are not traceable from the customer side. The postal service does provide a tracking facility, but this is currently only available for the shipper, by written application, and involves quite a long processing time (several weeks, sometimes months). Track and trace is available for all express shipments (DHL, FedEx, wholesale only, please E-mail us for your AWB number).

How can I correct errors I made in my order?
Please send us an E-mail. Please include your name and your order number (you will find this at the top of your E-mail order confirmation). If goods have already been dispatched to you, we regret that your order can no longer be changed.

I have placed an order a week ago but my credit card has not yet been charged?
Your credit card is not automatically charged when you place you order. You will only be charged at the time of shipping and only for goods actually shipped.

One variety of seeds I received seems to be covered in green mould. Can I still sow them?
What you're seeing is not mould. We frequently use a harmless copper-based fungicide to stabilize rot-prone seeds during transit. It is a greenish powder on the seeds. It does not harm the seeds but we suggest you wash it off before sowing.

Why are all selections lost when I return from the shopping cart to the seed list to make corrections?
This can happen with some browsers and is not the fault of our website. Sorry that we can't help.

What countries does rarepalmseeds.com deliver to?
We deliver to nearly any country in the world. To date, we have completed successful deliveries to well over 100 countries.

I still have not received my order. Why is it taking so long this time?
Sometimes shipments get delayed by agriculture or customs inspections or in the postal service. Please also note that we are not located in the United States. We are shipping from Europe (wholesale direct, small packets via a distributor in the United States). Issuing the necessary paperwork, customs and USDA inspections, and delivering the goods to your door of course all take time. Please be patient, we are sure the seeds will reach you soon and in good shape.

Can I place my wholesale order by mail?
Yes, but it would be best (and fastest) if you did the order online on our website or use the form which is attached to our newsletter.

Are all the varieties on the price list available for delivery?
Yes. Only species that are in stock or expected here shortly are offered for sale. Some seeds are available throughout the year, while others only become available every couple of years for a period of only a few days or weeks. We update our sales list as often as necessary. Sold-out varieties are generally marked as such, or are removed from the list. However, it is possible that some varieties will sell out more rapidly than we can update our list. We would ask for your understanding on this point.
